Mother's Day 2008

Chris and I hosted Mother's Day dinner at our house this year. We really had a great time entertaining our parents and siblings. My brother, Larry came too! Chris' brother, Craig, his wife Trish and their son, Andrew joined us as well. Chris was the little Iron Chef for the day...he grilled some DE-licious steaks...we had twice baked potatoes, sauteed green beans and garlic bread...but we saved the best for last! I made a mocha brownie cake for my brother's birthday along with coconut cupcakes for all the mothers! Needless to say, we had a feast! It was a beautiful day so we decide to eat outside on the back deck...here are just a few photos, ENJOY!
My mother and brother, Larry!

Eli's and Brody's Birthday Party

THE BIRTHDAY BOYS
ELIJAH JUDSON BELL - 6 YEARS OLD
BRODY LANE FULLER - 3 YEARS OLD
My parents hosted the boys' birthday party at their house in Panama City...we had a great time. My grandparents came in town from Georiga along with my Aunt Margaret and her family. My dad's brother, Paul and his wife Leah flew all the way from New York for the festivities. Needless to say we had a great time and the boys were spoiled rotten with all their gifts. This time next year, Savannah will be here to help the boys celebrate their birthdays! I can't wait!
Eli being silly...he get that big mouth from his momma...(no worries on her seeing my blog!)
Brody wants more fruit...until the cake arrived. The boys had their own cakes, Eli had a race car theme cake and Brody had a Spiderman theme cake...I ate some of both!
Brody taking a picture of me taking a picture of him! He's a mess!

EASTER WEEKEND - TEXAS

Over Easter weekend, I flew to the great state of Texas to visit my sister, Lori and her family...we had a blast as Brody entertained us constantly! In the photo below, he is singing (and he's such a great singer!)..he said he needed his microphone AKA air freshener before he could bust out in song. Once he got the "microphone" he rocked out! Such a cute boy! I can't believe he is already 3 years old!
He wasn't interesed in taking a photo with me, he wanted to start eating all of the candy....watch out SUGAR RUSH!

I love this photo of Lori, Steve and Brody...Brody could careless what's going on around him in this photo, just as long as he had some candy, he was good!
Brody was enjoying his solo picnic in the living room....gotta make meal time fun especially when you're eating carrots and vienna sausages with ketcup, NASTY! But he ate it.

It's been a while, sorry!

For those that check our blog regularly, I'm sorry that I've been a slacker and not posted anything for the past month or so. There isn't too much to report..except that Savannah is kicking and moving around like a WILD WOMAN! And I love it! I can't wait to see what she looks like, I can't wait to hold her and most of all I can't wait to see her Daddy hold her! That will be a sight that I will never forget! I know Chris is going to be the best dad in the whole world! He already talks to her (through my belly button??)..so I'm sure she'll recognize his voice when she arrives...another sound she'll recognize...Harley and Raz barking! Should be interesting to see the dogs and how they react to her sweet little sounds!

We had a great Mother's Day weekend...we had my folks, Chris' folks and some of our siblings over to our house for a cook-out...we had lots of fun! I was kinda bummed that my sister and her family couldn't make it, but seeing that it would have taken them 2 days to get here from the great state of Texas, I let this one slide, (just kidding!). But I did talk with my sister today and she WILL be here for Savannah's birth! I'll be posting some of the photos from Mother's Day weekend as soon as I download them from my camera.

I'm excited about this coming weekend.....I get to see one of my best friends and her family (Amanda Tomlin) at the beach PLUS I have my first baby shower on Saturday and my friend Sarah's beach house! I'll be sure to post some photos of the shower...once I take them...just a little teaser!

Also, two weeks ago, Chris and I had maternity photos taken at Coalson Plantation in Thomasville, Georgia. We couldn't have ordered a better day to take the photos....hopefully the photographer will have some proofs to me tomorrow and I'll see if I can post them on my blog! You will not believe the "belly" when you see it, cause it's large and in charge! And I love it! I have to admit that being pregnant is a wonderful thing.....it took me a while to accept the way I looked pregnant, but then it hit me, "I'm suppose to look like this!" Once I got over that, I really started enjoying being pregnant and watching my body transform into this little "hotel" for Savannah. It's funny to watch Chris' face when Savannah shifts from one side of my belly to the other...I can't explain his face but I love it!

Okay, I'll stop rambling for now...check back from some updated photos of our growing family!

IT'S A GIRL!

Here is our little baby girl, Savannah Jean Pate!
In the photo, you can see that she is already sucking her thumb! Isn't she adorable! Chris and I are over the moon with excitment...of course, my mother has already bought her about a dozen outfits...there will not be a shortage of clothes for Savannah. Chris and I like the nickname "Savy" for our little princess! Of course "Rotten" may be more appropriate! She is moving around like crazy these days...we can't wait to meet her! Today we are exactly 19 weeks and I am really SHOWING... Savannah is going to be a big bundle of joy! (or maybe I need to lay off the cookies...nah!)

Gas Bubble or Baby moving ????

Hi Everyone!

Today at exactly 1:52 p.m. I felt the baby move for the first time. So many of my friends have described the feeling of the first movement...it feels like a "flutter" or "bubble". As soon as I realized what it was I called Chris at work to tell him...at first he said "No way, really!" and then he asked, "Are you sure it wasn't a gas bubble?".... I assured him it wasn't a gas bubble. We laughed and said that the baby is already "ACTIVE". I think in a way, feeling the baby move for the first time almost confirms that we are in fact having a baby....of course, my growing belly (and I won't mention what else is growing) confirms it as well.

Sorry I haven't posted any news photos, I don't have any to post...but on March 4, Chris and I will find out the sex of the baby....I'll post some photos then!

Until then, take care of yourself!
