Easter 2009

The Easter bunny came to visit Savannah and he gave her some new teeth...yes, that's right...more teeth! At the moment she has 2 teeth on the bottom and more are trying to break through. We knew something was wrong when she was constantly fussy Friday night...normally she is laughing, talking and yelling at the dogs. Make a long story short...Savannah received Tylenol and teething tablets from the Easter Bunny. I promise, next year will be different...we'll get her some sugar coated Peeps. Saturday after we went to the Downtown Market and loaded up on some local fresh veggies, we decided to go to the park and take some pictures of Savanna in her MANY Easter outfits...here are some of the pictures.

Stinker!

My favorite picture of the day, Savannah and Chris. She LOVES her Daddy! Her first word was Da da da...sometimes it sounds like Die die die. Whatever it sounds like, it sure sounds adorable coming from her little mouth...she has the cutest little voice, except when she yells at herself in the mirror. She's going to be a PISTOL!

Easter pictures with Eli & Brody

Last weekend, we decided to take some photos of the kiddos for Easter. It was quite the little adventure for many reasons: 1) They were on a severe sugar rush from eating Brody's birthday cake. 2) None of them had taken naps. However the pictures turned out absolutely perfect. Here are some of the pictures we took.

Tennessee Trip

This past week, Nana, Savannah and I took little trip to Tennessee to visit my best friend, Amanda and her family in Nashville. We had a BLAST! It was such an awesome trip, we shopped, ate, ate, shopped, kissed on babies, changed diapers, ate, shopped, changed diapers, ate and we managed to sleep a bit. Here are some pictures from our visit. Below is Amanda and I before we tore up a yummy burger from Red Robin.

Trip to Uncle Snap's Horse Farm in Alabama

Savannah, Nana and I recently took a mini-vacation to North Alabama to visit my dear friends at their farm. We had so much fun and it was really nice to see Royce and Mary George again. It has been almost 3 years since we last saw each other, so needless to say, we had lots to catch up on. When we arrived Wednesday afternoon/night, Mary George spoiled us with a gourmet dinner. We sat around and enjoyed the beautiful weather that night and the next day. Once again, Mary George cooked a delicious breakfast, then we went on a walk around the farm. There is nothing like spending time with friends that are almost like family. We had a blast! Thanks Uncle Snap and Mary George for an awesome visit...we hope to see you soon! Here are some of the pictures from our visit.

7 months and growing like a weed!

This past weekend was absolutely beautiful so we decided to spend the entire weekend outside. On Friday, Aunt Lori, Uncle Steve and Brody came to see us...we went shopping, ate lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant and then more shopping. Then when Chris got home, he cooked a MEAN steak (it was YUMM-O)! Saturday morning, we all got up, ate breakfast, played around for a little bit and then headed to our annual crawfish boil. They had live music, all the food you could ever ask for and lots of sunshine! After the festivities, we came home, took naps and then headed to the park by the house. There was the most amazing breeze blowing that you didn't know you were getting a farmer's tan! Yep, I look like a dorky farmer with my tan lines. Here are some photos that we took at the park..Savannah loved touching and eating the grass. Then on Sunday, Chris and Papa went to play golf while Meme and I went shopping. Savannah was such a good girl, she is a great shopper...I taught her young! Last weekend, we bought new bikes and took Savannah on her first bike ride...it was a HOOT. She didn't know what to think about it, but she enjoyed it. This coming week, we are headed to Alabama to visit some friends the bought a horse farm and then off the Tennessee to visit some more friends...it's gonna be a great vacation with great friends and great family!

Our baby girl is 6 months old!

Whew! I can't believe that Savannah is already 6 months old. I can't begin to tell you how much fun we are having with little Savy. She's changing everyday and we love to see her explore with her eyes, hands and recently her VOICE! She loves her exersaucer that Nana & Papa gave her for Christmas...it makes lots of noise and therefore she gets lots of attention! Last week, during her 6 month birthday, she was vomiting. Yep, that's right, our sweet baby girl had a viral infection...then we found out that all of the vomiting aggravated her reflux, so now she's on Zantac, which seems to be working (thank goodness!). She was back to her normal self on Sunday, so we ventured out of the house (mainly because we were all going BONKERS in this house!) We took Savannah for her first trip to the Junior Museum. We had the most fun watching her check out all the animals...it's was her first time seeing horses, turkeys (kinda funny that they would have turkeys at the museum.). Florida Panthers, snakes, deer, foxes, black bears, some weird exotic barking deer from China...etc. etc. etc. We took some great photos during our visit, but posting all of them would take me forever, so I picked 2 of my favorites. We are so blessed to have this little girl in our lives, she has changed our lives in ways we can't describe! She is our EVERYTHING!
She loves riding on her Daddy's shoulders. I love it when she leaves a big glob on drool in his hair. The love I have in my heart for these two stinkers in undescribable...my cup runneth over.

Uncle Larry's lakehouse December 2008

Over the Christmas holidays, we went home and chilled with the family at my brother's house on the lake. It was an amazing day and we had tons of fun playing around the lake, riding the four wheeler and roasting marshmellows by the fire. Uncle Larry has the coolest house! Here are some random photos that we took during our visit.

Random photos - Thanksgiving & Christmas

Here are some random photos that we took over Thanksgiving and Christmas, I figured I needed to post them before Savannah was a year old! I am such a procrastination these days about posting photos of little stinker.

Some of the photos are of Eli, Brody and Savannah that we took over Thanksgiving. Mom and Dad used one of these photos as their Christmas cards to send out to all of their friends and family.

'bout time I posted something, huh?

On MLK day, we met Aunt Lori, Uncle Steve & Brody for lunch and ice cream. Here is a photo of Savannah chillin' while we ate some yummy Maggie Moo's Ice Cream. Isnt' she getting so big and so stinkin' CUTE!
Man O Man, it's been crazy here in the Pate house over the weekend. It all started with me getting sick with a cold, then the flu bug hit me like a ton of bricks. THEN, as if that wasn't enough sickness to deal with, I decided to share the love with Chris and got him sick with the flu bug. And ya'll know when a man gets sick, it's pretty much the most horrible thing and the world is going to end right then and there....that's my man, Mr. Drama (butt). THEN, we were are trying to turn the corner to feeling better, poor little Savannah starts getting sick. After she showered the wood floors with formula and pedialyte, I called the doctor and they sent us to Urgent Care...we had the sweetest doctor that came in and checked Savannah (she weighs a hefty 13 lbs..my little pork chop!), he told us that she has a viral infection and there isn't anything he can give her for vomiting, etc. It just had to run it's course....and it is! We're home now and pretty much exhausted from all the events today....so why am I posting something on the blog tonight...cause it's been waaay toooooo long since I updated everyone on the Pates! Besides being sick, we are doing great. Savannah is such a mess. Her little personality is starting to shine and she is cracking us up on a daily basis. Not only has she discovered her voice, but now she has discovered it has many different volumes...which she experiments with daily! I promised to post some recent pictures of Savannah once I can find the time to download them all on the computer.

Savannah & Santa

It's been a while since I've posted anything..it's been crazy around the Pate house these days. Work keeps us busy and when we're not working, we're spending every minute with Savy! She is changing everyday and watching her little personality blossom is beautiful and hilarious! She makes the funniest facial expressions, Chris and I just laugh at her. It amazes me how much she loves her Daddy! He walks in the room and her face lights up...he's so WRAPPED! This photo was taken the day after Thanksgiving....I actually talked Chris into going to the mall on Black Friday...only to see Santa and then quickly leave! That was the first and last time anyone will see Chris at the mall on Black Friday. I have tons of photos to post of our Thanksgiving events. Keep checking back to see those photos...maybe I'll have them posted by Christmas...I'm such a procrastinator these days! Savannah asked Santa for one more bow on her outfit, hee hee! Ain't she cute as pie! Keep Savannah in your prayers as she is sick...she has a ear infection, bronchiolitis and the stomach bug/flu. Bless her little heart...we're going back to the doctor tomorrow morning for a check up and to get some test results to see if she has a more severe respiratory infection. I'll keep you posted on how she's doing! I better get some sleep...she is waking up a couple times a night coughing like crazy...of course, I jump clear out of bed and run to check on her...most of the time, she goes right back to bed...other times, she's up and HUNGRY.

Pure Sugar

This afternoon, Craig, Trisha and Andrew came over to eat pizza and take some photos of the kiddos. It was interesting trying to get a 2 year old and a 4 month old to sit still and smile at the same time. We did manage to get some cute photos of them together, which I will post later. In the meantime, here is one of the photos that Chris took, ain't she cute? I can't believe that she is almost 4 months old. Gosh, I love this girl so much!

Our little Genius

How funny is this picture? Savannah is getting stronger and is able to sit up with some help. This little chair helps her sit up all by herself. This picture was too funny, I had to share it. We can't believe how much Savannah has grown in the past month. She has certainly discovered her VOICE. One morning last week, Chris was getting ready for work, he walked past Savannah as she was sitting in her bouncy, Savannah screamed at him (almost like she was saying, "HELLO, you better acknowledge me Daddy!"). Chris can make her laugh out loud...from the time Savannah was about 2 months old, she and her Daddy would sit and watch football together...there is some chats that fans do at the JETS' games...so Chris decided to entertain Savannah with it one night....little did he know that she would bust a gut every time he does that chat with her. It is absolutely priceless to hear her belly laugh and then to hear Chris laugh at her. Oh yeah, as if we didn't already know this, but Savy is a little spunky thing. Her personality is definitely starting to blossom, we can honestly say that she takes after Chris and I.

FOUR years!

CAN YOU BELIVE IT?
Chris and I have been married for 4 years! This past Thursday, we celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary. It wasn't your ideal anniversary celebration..I was sick with a cold and feeling pretty rought! However, Chris made it very special. He came home with a beautiful bouqet of flowers that BRIGTEN my day tremedeously! We went home this past weekend and celebrated by dining on fresh Apalachicola raw oysters and an ice cold Corona(s)! Here are some photos from 4 years ago.
THE BRIDE AND GROOM
I remember this photo like it was yesterday...Chris and I had just seen each other for the first time before the wedding....can you say TEARS?!?! Man, we look so young.
Larry, Eli, me and Lori (Lori was pregnant with Brody in this photo). Eli was 2 years old in this picture...can you belive it?
My bridesmades....Missy, Lori, me, Kim, Delanna, Amanda and Emalee (in front).

Trip to Papa & MeMe's cabin

We had a great time visiting with Chris' folks at their cabin in the mountains...Savannah had a great time and was such a good baby. Papa & Meme spoiled her rotten, of course! She was very entertaining...her adorable personalty has really started to come out. Her facial expressions crack me up. She is laughing out loud and talking up a storm. Does she have Daddy's eyes or WHAT? This photo is priceless! We were visiting a little town in the mountains when we took this photo...isn't it adorable?

Can you tell it was nap time? I had her bundled up the entire time we were in the mountains...her Florida blood wasn't use to the cold weather they had while we were visiting. The leaves were changing and it was absolutely gorgeous!
I took this photo during one of our hikes near the cabin.
Savannah was so bundled up, all she could move were her eyes...I think we all laughed at her for about 10 minutes..she just sat there and looked around, thinking "What in the world are they doing to me?"
She looks like a strawberry popsicle.
She was having a blast in the new bouncy seat that Meme got her...she would kick and squeal and then laugh out loud...that sweet belly laugh!
Raz taking a break during one of the hikes. He would run ahead of us, check things out and then run back to us with this look on his face like, "Are ya'll coming?"

Savannah was a lady bug for Halloween. As you can see, the costume was a bit to big for her..I'm pretty sure the antennas were suppose to point up, not down. Oh well...she's the cutest lady bug I've ever seen!
Aunt MaryAnn, Savannah and me. We met MaryAnn while we were in the mountains..this was the first time MaryAnn had met little miss priss. It was great to see MaryAnn and those of you that know Ann, yes, she sniffed Savannah! More photos from our hike
One of the many breaktaking views from the cabing
Savannah loved this toy that MeMe bought her while we were shopping one day....thanks Meme!
